Yaseico is a privately owned company registered in Edinburgh, established primarily to provide Information Security and Data protection support and employee training to companies in the UK, in the private and not for profit sectors. The founder Tim Wild is the CEO. Our core aim is to strengthen resilience to cybercrime and help support UK business becoming among the most successful at adopting best practices and standards for Data Privacy and information security. We believe that a continuously changing environment and the general complexities of privacy legislation and complex information security frameworks need to be simplified as much as possible to allow businesses to focus on their core activities
We know from experience that independent help is invaluable and we want to help businesses thrive by sharing what we learnt developing our own businesses from the ground up. Our self assessment and training solutions have been developed in house and have evolved from our own hands on experience in delivering web based applications to businesses worldwide. With these tools, coupled with our experience in developing and implementing our own compliant management systems our aim is to help businesses implement best practices and standards for information governance, security and data protection.
Principle approach
Successful outcomes for Data protection and information security can be delivered only with hands on engagement and commitment from the board of directors and business leaders. Data protection and information security solutions should not be unnecessarily over complicated or overly expensive to implement. They should simply be fit for purpose. Companies should be helped to implement appropriate management systems and measures to protect information and in doing so avoid spending time, effort and money on services and software that are not appropriate. We don’t try and sell security software or technology. We do think businesses should leverage their existing IT investments where they can.
Data protection and information security services for small to medium size businesses is a high priority and we want to help those organisations implement best practices, and if required achieve certification against a relevant standard. We will do as much or as little as is necessary to help a business achieve its objectives.
Whilst each company is unique, management systems and frameworks have many common features. It ought to be possible for 80% of a management system or framework to be established relatively quickly and 20% is in delivering a solution to the address the specific needs of a business.
