Discounts and promotions
How are discounts applied?
Discounts are built into product pricing where applicable (for example a bundle of two products is priced at less than the courses purchased individually) and volume discounts are applied automatically during the checkout process according to volume/quantity selected. See the notes below on individual conditions and scenarios.
Special discounts including the higher discounts for charity are applied using individual discounting coupons which typically are restricted to use by individual registered users. Registered charities can apply for the discount. For further information keep on reading.
Course Bundles
Course bundles are simply multiple courses sold in a bundle. Where two or more courses are included in a bundle the relative price for each course is lower than purchasing them individually. The more courses included in the bundle the greater the discount. Each bundles product listed in the shop will indicate the savings made. The discount for bundles increases depending on the number of courses included in the bundle, but can typically save between 10% and 25%
The great news is that bundled discounts can be combined with volume discounts and so these are recommended for organisations that want to purchase multiple courses for groups of employees as this will maximise the discount.
If there is no bundle available for the courses you wish to purchase then contact us for a custom quote.
Volume Discount
Volume discounting is straight forward. The discount is applied to banding eg 11-50 users, 51-250 users and 250-500 users and typically ranges between 10 and 25%. The discounting offer and banding may be different from course to course and may also change from time to time so check the individual course details for the specific offer. If you wish to purchase courses for more than 500 users then please contact us for a custom quote.
Volume discounts apply to individual course products only. So for example, using the above banding as an example, if you wanted to buy two courses, for 8 users, then no volume discount would apply. You would need to purchase at least a quantity 11 of each course for the discount to be applied for that course.
The great news is that bundled discounts can be combined with volume discounts and so these are recommended for organisations that want to purchase multiple courses for groups of employees as this will maximise the discount.
Charities and not for profit organisations
A flat discount rate is offered to registered charities and not for profit organisations. The discount is typically up to 25% but may vary according to the size of the organisation and we may change the discount policy from time to time. If you are a registered charity or not for profit organisation and wish to take advantage then the following steps should be followed.
- If you have not already registered and logged in then please register as a user
- Apply using the support request form, detailing your registered charity or company number in the details
- Add information in the details section of the form to support your requests, including the courses required
- If the application is successful, we will assign and issue a discount code to the registered user who made the application. This will be unique to the user and for the courses specified. The discount code cant be used by anyone else.
As the discount is intended to favour smaller not-for-profit organisations, the charity discount offer can’t be used in conjunction with other discounts such as bundles or volume discounts. A charity organisation does not have to use its discount code when purchasing and therefore can choose which discount method to use to best suit its needs and budget.
Promotional pricing and discounting
If a course is sold at a special discounted price, for example, a special promotion event, then special conditions may apply. Reference should be made to the promotional details for further information. Examples of conditions may include a limited number of purchases, a limited volume of courses or a reduced validity period for the User License, which means a reduced period of access to course materials.
